Johnson County collision sends 3 to hospital with extensive injuries

JOHNSON COUNTY, Mo.- Details are limited following a dangerous two-vehicle collision in Johnson County this morning where both the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office and Missouri State Highway Patrol were on scene investigating.

According to Troop A’s filed accident report, Tara Tracy, 39, of Kingsville, Mo., was southbound on US-61 Highway and Nettie Watkins, 23, also of Kingsville, was traveling on NW Route W when they struck each others vehicle at the intersection.

Tracy was transported by LifeFlight to Research Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries. Watkins and her passenger, Kevin Kamau, 27, of Warrensburg, were also transported to Research Medical Center and are being treated for serious injuries.

The investigation into the cause of the accident is continuing.
