A Sedalia woman facing one count of tampering with a motor vehicle is expected to make an appearance in a Saline County courtroom on Tuesday. Lydia Iliff, 32, was charged in August 2012 after she allegedly stole a pick-up truck and abandoned it in a wheat field.  Two days later, Iliff showed up at the home of a family member without her 18-month-old daughter, who was later found deceased by the side of a creek. No charges have been filed so far in the child’s death. At a hearing last month, Iliff’s lawyer asked for more information from the prosecutor to determine if the tampering charge will be the only one his client will face.  Iliff’s hearing will be Tuesday at 9:00 a.m.
