Jury Convicts Alvarez

A Saline County Jury found a Marshall man guilty this week of attempted escape from custody.  Carlos Alvarez, 25, ran from the courthouse after being convicted of statutory rape in December.  Police caught him about a block away.  Alvarez is set to be sentenced on November 19th.  He is already serving seven years in the Department of Corrections for the first crime.
