RICHMOND, MO – A jury trial has been re-scheduled for a Blue Springs woman in Ray County court.

A jury is to decide whether sufficient evidence shows Shelby Mattson committed three counts of abuse or neglect of a child. Two of those counts also allege serious emotional or physical injury. The charges originated from events in February, 2015 alleging a 16-month old child had been in Mattson’s care when he suffered injuries, including bruises and broken bones.

During a trial setting yesterday, the three-day trial was scheduled to begin 9 a.m. January 8, 2018.
