K.C. Murder Case Heading to Trial

One of the men charged in a Warrensburg resident’s death was in a Kansa City courtroom Wednesday morning for a pre-trial conference.

Alonzo Ruff, 20, and Anthony Williams, 23, are accused of entering a Kansas City home and opening fire back in April. Aaron Markarian, 23, a music student at UMKC, died at the scene. The two men have both been charged with murder, five counts of armed criminal action, three counts of assault, and one count of robbery.

Ruff will return to the Division 15 courtroom for a trial setting May 19th. Williams is scheduled to go to trial in March.
