Kansas City Favorite Announces Candidacy

Jackson County Missouri voters may be electing a Hall of Famer to the legislature. According to K.C. media, Royals Hall of Fame second baseman Frank White has announced his candidacy for the at-large seat in the 1st District, which is being vacated by Theresa Garza.

White will be running as a Democrat against fire union leader Sherwood Smith.

White has a good amount of time to build a campaign; the primary election is not until Tuesday, August 12th.
