Kearney Residents Hurt in Collision

Two Kearney residents received moderate injuries in an accident Monday night in Clinton County. According to the Highway Patrol, Samuel Baker, 17, of Smithville was northbound on Highway 169, near Trimble, when he attempted to turn onto Route Z.  Baker reportedly failed to yield and pulled into the path of a southbound vehicle being driven by John Ball, 59, of Kearney.  Ball and his passenger, Tonnie Ball, 63, were transported to North Kansas City Hospital.  Baker was uninjured.
