King City driver suffers fatal injuries following rollover accident in Gentry County

GENTRY COUNTY, Mo.- A one-vehicle fatal accident Wednesday in Gentry County was investigated by Troop H of the Missouri State Highway Patrol with the assistance of the Gentry County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the filed accident report, at approximately 3:30 p.m., Lori Pike, 50, of King City, was traveling eastbound on 450th Street on the westbound side of the gravel roadway, one mile east of US 169, when she reportedly overcorrected and went off the south side of the roadway. Her vehicle then struck an embankment and a fence before overturning several times and coming to rest on the embankment.

An occupant in the vehicle, Connor Pawling, 8, also of King City, sustained minor injuries and was taken to Mosaic Life Care in St Joseph for treatment by Grand River Ambulance. Pike suffered fatal injuries and was later pronounced dead at Mosaic Life Care.
