A two vehicle crash in St. Louis County Sunday morning injured a Kirksville resident and intoxication is suspected.

The highway patrol reports that 42-year-old Christopher Lindley was westbound on I-44 at mile marker 278 when he veered to the right and struck another westbound vehicle driven by 28-year-old Matthew Garrison of Crestwood. The collision sent Lindley off the roadway where the vehicle overturned several times before coming to rest upright.

Garrison was uninjured, however Lindley suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Mercy Hospital for treatment; he was later charged with D.W.I. and released to the hospital’s care.
