The investigation continues after an apparent homicide in Johnson County early Saturday morning. Johnson County Sheriff’s deputies were called to 17 S.E. 971 Road in Knob Noster after a report of a self-inflicted gun shot wound. After arriving at the home they found Danielle Garcia, 24, dead of a gun shot wound to the head. Upon further investigation into the incident authorities took Anthony Garcia, 23, her husband, into custody on charges of second-degree murder and armed criminal action. Garcia was booked into the Johnson County Jail just before noon Saturday on a $250,000 bond.

On February 9, 2013 at 01:11am Deputies with the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to 17 S.E. 971 Road in Knob Noster, Missouri on a report of a female suffering from a self inflicted gun shot wound.
Upon arrival on scene, responding deputies found twenty four year old Danielle R. Garcia deceased on the kitchen floor of the residence with an apparent gun shot wound to the head. Danielle Garcia was officially pronounced dead at the scene by Johnson County Coroner C. L. Holdren at 02:15am.
Upon further investigation into the incident Johnson County Sheriff’s Detectives arrested Anthony Garcia the husband of Danielle R. Garcia and charged him with one count of Second Degree Murder, and one count of Armed Criminal Action in connection with the death of Danielle R. Garcia.
Anthony Garcia was booked into the Johnson County Jail at 11:55am on February 9, 2013. Anthony Garcia, age 23, of 17 S.E. 971 Road Knob Noster, Missouri remains in custody at the Johnson County Jail in lieu of a $250,000.00 bond. Investigation into the case continues.
