Three Knob Noster residents were injured in two separate accidents Wednesday on Highway DD in Johnson County.  The first occurred shortly before 7 p.m. Wednesday night.  The Highway Patrol reports 22-year-old Derek Patterson traveled off the roadway and struck an embankment.  He was taken to Western Missouri Medical Center with minor injuries.

The second crash happened at about 10:45 p.m. when 22-year-old Tyler Dawson attempted to turn into Whiteman Air Force Base.  According to the accident report, he failed to yield to an on-coming vehicle driven by 18-year-old Daniel Bannier.  The two collided head-on and Bannier’s vehicle caught fire.  Dawson was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center with minor injuries.  Bannier was moderately injured and was taken to Centerpoint Hospital.
