FLORENCE, Italy (AP) — A former American exchange student convicted today by an Italian appeals court of stabbing her roommate says she expected better of the Italian justice system. Amanda Knox and her boyfriend were originally acquitted. She’s been free in the U.S. for more than two years while the acquittal was reviewed. Her lawyers will appeal the 28 ½ year sentence.
