CARROLLTON, M0.- The regular season came to end for many teams a few weeks ago and the KRLI Sports Country 5th Quarter “Show-Me Standout” public poll produced two more players of the week and thousands of more votes.

Carrollton’s Brett Piersons garners his second “Show-Me Standout” player of the week award this season. Last week Pierson had 1,643 votes out of the 3,111 and was nominated by Coach Proffitt for scoring his 1,000th career point vs. Richmond. Pierson’s last nomination followed a 40-plus point performance at the Lawson Invitational earlier in the season.

Brunswick’s own Abby Dobbins was nominated by Coach McCulley for a strong end to season against Bunceton with 11 points, 6 rebounds and 3 steals. Dobbins has been a key part of the developing season for the Lady Wildcats and has a promising future as a guard in the area. Dobbins had 555 of the 1,119 votes in the girls public poll which was over 49% of the votes.
