The Lafayette County Commission has completed their budget for 2013. Click to hear KMZU’s Kristie Cross speak with Presiding Commissioner Harold Hofflander:
Revenue is expected to be slightly lower than last year.
“We have tried to just sharpen our pencils with every budget that we have to deal with. I know our spending is going to have to be curtailed a little bid,” said Hofflander, “As of right now, we are not cutting any services to anybody in the county at all. So all our services will stay the same. It may mean that we can’t buy maybe some new equipment or something like that someplace; that we just have to wait another year for that.”
They have a $4.3 million budget, and expect it to be down about $15,000 in 2013.
