The Lafayette County Health Department will conduct a disaster exercise today (Thu.) to gauge how prepared county resources are to respond to a county wide medical emergency or natural disaster. County residents who are 18-years or older will either meet at the health department and ride a bus or drive themselves to the Lafayette County School where a simulated emergency center will be set up from 3 to 7 p.m. Rod Kirchhoff, the department’s Emergency Response Planner explains why.

Volunteers will move through various stations, answer general health questions and eventually be given placebos. To learn more, log onto the Lafayette County Health Department website; a link is posted at KMZU dot com.
