Area Polar Plunge to Benefit Special Olympians

The Polar Bear Plunge into Lake Viking, sponsored by the Missouri Special Olympics, is next Saturday February 2nd. There are over 1-thousand special Olympians living in this region alone, ranging from 8 years-old to 88 and organizer Melody Prawitz explains who the event is for and who it benefits.

Prawitz adds the funds are not just for trips to the games.

Lake Viking is west of Gallatin and North of Highway 6. The plunge February 2nd will be at the Clubhouse near Gallatin; for more information and pre-registration go online to the Missouri Special Olympics website.
