(Salt Lake City, UT)  —  Utah lawmakers are closely studying state school lunch policies after lunches were taken from almost 40 students at an elementary school in Salt Lake City.  Senators Jim Dabakis of Salt Lake City and Todd Weiler of Wood Cross visited the Salt Lake school today and said in a release “No child in Utah should ever be hungry in a classroom.”  Salt Lake City School District apologized to parents after the students’ meals were thrown away due to late balances on their lunch accounts.
