Lawson resident suspected of meth possession after traffic stop

RAY COUNTY, MO – A Lawson resident was taken into custody this afternoon for drug possession.

Highway Patrol stopped a vehicle in Ray County, occupied by Melanie Morton, 38.  An informal felony charge for methamphetamine possession was cited in an arrest report.  Outstanding warrants were also noted out of Richmond.

Additional citations included no insurance, failure to display plates, and no seat belt.
