Lift Station Upgrades Continue

They are doing an upgrade to the lift station and some upgrades on the sewer system. Old Highway 24 remains closed while it is underway.

“I appreciate all the people staying away from the area, because the safety feature’s why we have it shut down.  And I know the guys working on that really appreciate it,” said Johnson.

Depending on weather, the project is scheduled to be completed in July.

“They had some setbacks with the rain and everything, but they’re basically on schedule,” said Johnson, “They’re waiting on a time frame on submittals, and the process will be starting up after everything dries up again.”

The $5.4 million project is funded by a bond issue passed by voters.
