Livingston County Loses Long Time Officer

The Livingston County area is mourning the loss of a longtime servant.  According to the Sheriff’s Department, former Chief Deputy Jim Lightner passed away Wednesday night after emergency crews responded to a 911 call from his home.

Lightner had served in a law enforcement roll in Chillicothe since 1985 and had continued to work on a part-time basis following his retirement in October of last year.
