Two Macon men are headed to trial in the murder case of an elderly woman in Mobelry Easter weekend.

Christopher Lewis, 19, and Jeffrey Nichols, 22, are each charged with first degree murder in the death of 92-year-old Carmelita Kaser. Other charges against the pair are pending in relation to that weekend crime spree.

There is no set date for the murder trial at this time and both defendants remain incarcerated on $1-million cash only bonds. The prosecutor has indicated he will pursue the death penalty for both men if they are convicted.
