Man Already Wanted By Police Makes It Worse

A Leeton man is behind bars following his attempt to elude law officers last night in Johnson County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol William Yates, 33, was taken into custody just before 11 o’clock and faces charges of alleged resisting arrest by fleeing, misdemeanor possession of marijuana, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia and no valid license. Yates was also wanted on a felony probation warrant.

He was transported to the Johnson Co. Jail and is being held without bond.
