Man and woman facing delivery of controlled substance charges

LAFAYETTE COUNTY, Mo. — Formal charges have been filed against Lafayette County and Saline County residents.

According to a probable cause statement, on Sunday, officers observed a vehicle driving southbound on Highway BB when the vehicle failed to maintain the right half of the roadway.

During a traffic stop, officers noticed Chassity Nicole Little, 30, of Waverly and Nathan Alan Thompson, 37, of Malta Bend making movements in the vehicle. A canine was called in and allegedly found methamphetamine.

Upon a further search, officers found a duffel bag containing more drugs and needles.

Thompson and Little are both charged with felony delivery of a controlled substance except 35 grams or less of marijuana.

Thompson is additionally charged with misdemeanor unlawful possession, transport, manufacture, repair or sale of an illegal weapon.

Court dates are currently pending.
