Man Arrested for Alleged Enticement

Multiple law enforcement agencies teamed up this week to investigate, and eventually arrest, a Warrensburg man.  Jeremy Wade Holt, 40, was taken into custody on Wednesday, and his warrant was served on Friday.

Holt is facing one count of enticement of a child and one count of possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute.  His bond is set at $50,000.

On April 3, 2013, the Western Missouri Cyber Crimes Taskforce along with members of the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office and the Warrensburg Police Department arrested Jeremy Wade Holt of Higginsville, Missouri on charges of enticement of a child and possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute. Holt’s arrest was part of an on-going investigation conducted by the Western Missouri Cyber Crimes Taskforce.

The Western Missouri Cyber Crimes Taskforce is a multi-jurisdiction taskforce that investigates online crimes in a twenty-seven county area in western Missouri. The taskforce primarily focuses its efforts in the areas of child enticement and child pornography. Currently the taskforce is made up of investigators from the Buchanan County Sheriff’s Office, Cass County Sheriff’s Office, Clay County Sheriff’s Office, Gladstone Police Department, Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office, Liberty Police Department, Nodaway County Sheriff’s Office and the Platte County Sheriff’s Office.
