Man Arrested in Independence Shooting

Independence police say they have arrested a man in connection with a triple slaying.  Antonio Cervantes, 32, was apprehended around 10:00 Tuesday night.  Cervantes is suspected in the shooting deaths of Maria Hernandez, her boyfriend, Tomas Madrigal, and Hernandez’s 20-year-old son, Antonio.  The victims were found at a home in the 1500 block of South Pope in Independence early Friday morning.
