KIRKSVILLE, MO – A Kirksville man was charged after police resolved an investigation regarding a missing three-year-old.

According to a probable cause statement, police responded to 909 W Gardner in Kirksville, September 19, and were advised the missing child had been gone for 30 minutes. The mother told police she had left the boy with his father, Theodore Holloway, while she ran errands. After searching the premises, officers located the crying child in Spur Pond. Police believe he fell in the water. A statement indicates Holloway was not aware of the child leaving the residence due to a broken door on the trailer.

Prosecutors charged Holloway with a class D felony for abuse or neglect of a child. Bond is set at $10,000.
