Man Hurt in Crash, Charges Pending

Alcohol is believed to have played a role in a crash Tuesday night in Ray County.  The accident occurred around 8 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 10 and Route O, according to the Highway Patrol.  Investigators said Charles Stewart, 40, of Excelsior Springs, was northbound on Highway 10 when he pulled into the path of a vehicle driven by Martin Siegel, 62, of Rayville.  Siegel was not hurt.  Stewart was taken to Liberty Hospital with minor injuries.  He is facing charges of driving while intoxicated, failing to yield, and no insurance.
