The Marceline City Council is scheduled to discuss the Prairie State Energy Campus at Monday night’s meeting.
The City signed an agreement to purchase most of their power from Prairie State Energy Campus in 2004. A series of delays to the project, which led to a significant increase in cost, have caused the City to lose almost $1.4 million to the rising price. The City’s total budget is only $8 million.
Council is also scheduled to discuss utility rates. They will revisit the isssues of te business Complx and contracts.
Under new business, Council is set to discuss the redneck games, the September Council meeting, and the personnel manual.
They meet at 5:30 in Council Chambers, located in the Marceline City Hall.
