Marshall Pesticide Drop-off

Shields said the materials the will accept include fungicides, pesticides, and herbicides and they specifically have farmers in mind.  “We get several calls from farmers every year wanting to know how to dispose of these,” said Shields,”We’ll take them off their hands and get rid of them, it will also increase firefighter safety, as we respond to a lot of fire calls in rural areas, some of those are in sheds and we’re not sure what chemicals we’re dealing with at the time.”  The collection will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Marshall industrial park.
