Marshall Police investigating armed robbery at Casey’s General Store Monday night

SALINE COUNTY, Mo. — Marshall Police are searching for a suspect after a convenience store was robbed Monday night.

Authorities in Marshall were called to the Casey’s General Store in the 100 block of Eastwood Street to reports of an armed robbery in progress around 9:30 p.m. Monday.

A press release from the department indicates that by the time Marshall Police responded, with assistance from the Missouri State Highway Patrol and Saline County Sheriff’s Office, the suspect had already left the scene.

Witnesses said that the man in question pointed a firearm at a cashier and fled north on Odell Avenue with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a male of unknown race, standing around six feet tall and weighing approximately 180 lbs. At the time of the robbery, his skin was completely covered in black clothing to help conceal his identity.
