Marshall Police cite 6 of 7 stores for underage alcohol sales.

Thursday evening the Marshall Police Department completed an investigation for supplying alcoholic beverages to minors.  Under the supervision of the Marshall Police Department a minor, 19 years of age, went to seven businesses in Marshall and attempted to purchase alcoholic beverages.  The minor was sold alcoholic beverages at six of the seven locations. Citations were issued to the clerks of the six stores.

Charges contained in reports provided by law enforcement officials are not evidence of guilt. Evidence supporting charges must be presented before a jury, whose duty is to determine if the accused is guilty or not guilty of the charges.

The following stores were cited:


Vidal Sanchez, age 24, Marshall, MO.,                      Bharti Liquor, 1672 S. Odell Ave.

Joshua Chastine, age 25, Marshall, MO.                   Pop Shop, 1274 S. Odell Ave.

Olin Durham Jr., age 44, Marshall, MO.                   Casey’s General Store, 1267 S. Odell Ave.

Rachel Sapone, age 18, Marshall, MO.                       Casey’s General Store, 365 W. Arrow St.

Vanessa Thacker, age 28, Marshall, MO.                  Quick Run, 675 S. Odell Ave.

Darlene Morrow,  age 66, Malta Bend, Mo.              Northside Convenience Store, 775 N. Miami Ave.


Casey’s General Store, 121 E. Eastwood                     Did not sell alcoholic beverages to a minor.
