Marshall Snow Routes Change

Marshall City Council tweaked their emergency snow routes at Monday night’s meeting.  Click to hear KMZU’s Sarah Scott speak with City Administrator Connie Latimer:

Latimer said the plowed routes will now be more continuous and make it easier for residents to get around, but also cautioned people to remember to move their vehicles from the new routes when an emergency is declared.

Steps were also taken toward selling several plots of land.  Six plots of land were sold to Malachi Page Lawn Care for $200 each.  “And it’s cost us probably $400 dollars this year to keep them mowed, so it’s not much compared to the expense we probably have against them, but still it stops the bleeding as far as us having to put out more money to take care of things,” said Latimer.  Council also completed the contracts on several other lots whose bids were accepted a few weeks ago.
