MCGA Hosts Golf Tournament

Around 150 people turned out for MCGA's Mid Missouri Golf TournamentLunch was a sure stop during the MCGA hot day on the links.

The group gathered for the state Corn Growers Association Mid-Missouri golf tournament in Marshall.  Those who participate in the annual event typically leave with a darker tan and a few prizes.  They were also given an MCGA membership.  Malta Bend farmer Billy Thiel joined the organization several years ago before stepping into a leadership position…

The pork loin lunch was served with plates and forks made from corn.

By the way, 37 teams braved the heat to compete in the four-man scramble which included lunch served with plates and forks made of a very fitting material..
