In March of this year, a jury found Rachel Kinsella, 36, guilty of secretly poisoning her nine year old son with prescription medication. Kinsella was having her son treated in Kansas City and St. Louis, without telling doctors of his overlapping treatment. The State took custody of the child in 2015, after a near fatal visit to a St. Louis hospital.

On Friday, Kinsella received concurrent sentences of 25 year in the Department of Corrections for Assault in the First Degree and 7 years for Endangering the Welfare of a Child in the First Degree.
