Mark Rhodes

Attorneys for Carrollton man, who is accused of killing his estranged wife, appeared in a Ray County Courtroom Friday afternoon.  Mark Rhodes, 46, is facing charges of murder and armed criminal action in connection to the 2010 death of Tina Rhodes, 44.

Mark, himself, was not present at Friday’s hearing.  His counsel asked the judge to delay proceedings to allow for their client to receive a mental examination.  The State requested that, if a continuance was granted, the court would not allow any additional extensions in the case.

A pre-trial conference was scheduled for Feb. 25.  Rhodes is set to go on trial Aug. 19-23.  He is being tried in Ray County on a change of venue.
