Minor Injuries and D.W.I. for Brookfield Resident

A Brookfield man was injured and cited following a one vehicle crash in Chariton County Saturday evening.

The highway patrol reports that 21-year-old Nathan Bennett was northbound on 139 when the vehicle ran off the roadway and struck a culvert. The car overturned and came to rest.

Bennet sustained minor injuries and was transported to Pershing Hospital for treatment. After the investigation troopers charged Bennet with alleged DWI and careless & imprudent driving.

He was released to the care of the hospital.
