UPDATED: Missouri Elite 4-0 in Crystal Lake

Missouri Elite will played two games on Monday, July 28th. The first game was played at 11 a.m. against Crystal Lake Little League. Missouri Elite defeated CLLL 11-3. 

The 3 p.m. game against Crystal Lake Slam went into eight innings. Gavin Claud hit the winning run bringing the final score to 4-3.

The boys have moved up in ranking from #7 to #3.

The next game will be played Wednesday at 3 p.m. 


More than 60 teams in three age divisions are competing in the MCYSA Summer International Championships in Crystal Lake Illinois this week.

The Missouri Elite team out of Odessa, Missouri is currently undefeated. On Saturday at 7 p.m. the boys played the Brookfield Bulldogs out of Brookfield, Wisconsin and defeated them 11-1. Logan Empson pitched five innings of this game.

On Sunday, the Missouri Elite defeated the Dawgs Select of Racine, Wisconsin 14 to 9. Gavin Claud started on the mound and pitched for the first four innings. Garret Lampert, finished the game bringing their total tournament record to 2-0.

Nearly 1,100 exceptional ball players are going head to head during the MCYSA Summer International Championships going on July 24th through August 3, 2014.

This is the 10th consecutive year that MCYSA and McHenry Co. Illinois have hosted the Premier 11-Year-old Event in the World. MCYSA has partnered with Nations Baseball to build a tournament into the most prestigious 11 U amateur event in the world.

Teams from Missouri, Illinois, Colorado, Wisconsin, Puerto Rico, Indiana, Michigan, Japan and more will be competing. This is a Round-Robin format and each team is guaranteed a minimum of six games throughout the week.

The Missouri Elite consists of eight of players from the “Mashers” competing in this tournament. The Missouri Elite Team roster includes: Cedar Metz and Gavin Claude of Carrollton, Justin Griffth, Brett Duncan, Logan Empson, and Brice Palmer of Odessa, Jesse Alishire from Pleasant Hill, Aiden Watson, and Garret Lampert, from Liberty, Devin Schweiso, Tyler Ellington, and Carter Day from Blue Springs.

These 13 elite players are representing Missouri in this International Tournament.
