Missouri farmers make progress in harvest, despite rainy conditions

MISSOURI — Farmers have made progress statewide this harvest season, according to the USDA Crop Progress and Condition Report.

Statewide, farmers averaged 4.2 days on the field with 1.26 inches of precipitation statewide. 60 percent of corn has been harvested. This time last year, 77 percent was harvested. 30 percent of soybeans have been harvest so far, compared to 32 percent of last year.

The table below outlines crop progress more specifically by district.

As for condition, 50 percent of soybeans were reported as good, 15 percent as excellent, and 35 percent fair or lower. No data was presented for corn condition.
