Temperatures were much cooler than average at first, but that has returned to almost normal.  Guinan says the temperatures will actually average out to be about normal for the season.

“For precipitation, of course we’ve had a very wet January through May.  Especially February through May were particularly wet across the state as a whole,” said Guinan, “June was a little bit drier.  We had, of course, better opportunities for producers to get in the fields and resume planting, and the dryer conditions, the warmer conditions really helped out with that.”

Guinan says, as of right now, most parts of Missouri could use some rain.
