A report recently released by the Missouri Ethics Commission states that Daviess County Sherriff Kevin Heldenbrand was the subject of a complaint received by the commission regarding the 2012 Election. In the report the commission says that Sheriff Heldenbrand published and circulated a sign in Daviess County during the campaign that he himself paid for. On that sign the phrase “Paid for by Candidate” was written. The report states the proper language should have read “Paid for by Kevin Heldenbrand”. That violated a Missouri Statute and Heldenbrand has agreed to pay the $100 fine. No other action will be taken.
