MoDOT Announces 2012 Completed Projects

A total of 26 completed projects were on MoDOT’s 2012 northwest Missouri roadway construction wrap-up list.  Included were areas in Daviess and and Caldwell Counties.  According to the report, rumble stripes were added on Route 13 from Hamilton to Gallatin.  In addition,  thin lift overlay was placed on Route 13, Highway 36 and Route A. That project included 27 miles of pavement.

Drivers in Northwest Missouri are benefitting from roadway construction projects across the area this year, thanks to various projects from the Missouri Department of Transportation. MoDOT continues to do its best with the resources available to provide the best transportation system possible, and the following is a list of projects for this 2012 construction season.

Andrew County

  • U.S. Hwy. 71, northbound from I-29/I-229 to north of Route 59 interchange and part of the southbound U.S. Hwy. 71 ramps at Route 71/I-29/I-229 interchange; asphalt overlay
  • Route H from Fillmore to Route V near Maryville (Nodaway County); one-inch asphalt overlay

Atchison County

  • U.S. Hwy. 136 Brownville Bridge; three year of bridge rehabilitation and re-deck completed
  • Rock Port Welcome Center
  • U.S. Hwy. 136 and Routes D, U and E; overlays and flood repair
  • U.S. Hwy. 136 Little Tarkio Creek Bridge; bridge replacement (in progress)
  • Route 111 from Corning north; one-inch asphalt overlay

Buchanan County

  • Route 45 & U.S. Hwy. 59. intersection; made into a four-way stop including intersection lighting and signing
  • Interstate 29 from the Platte County line north eight miles; resurfaced both the northbound and southbound lanes
  • U.S. Hwy 36 westbound; pavement rehabilitation
  • Route 45 from Route 273 to 1.8 miles north of the Platte County line; resurfaced and widened shoulders

Daviess, Caldwell and Gentry Counties

  • Route 13, U.S. Bus. Hwy. 36 and Route A; thin lift overlay on 27 miles of pavement
  • Route 13 from Hamilton to Gallatin; rumble stripes added

Gentry County

  • U.S. Hwy. 169 from Grant City to U.S. Hwy.  136 (Worth County); overlay
  • Route 85 south of Albany; bridge replacement
  • U.S. Hwy. 169 south of Stanberry; bridge replaced with culverts

Harrison, Sullivan & Clinton Counties

  • Routes T, 139 and U.S. Hwy. 69 on 46.6 miles of pavement; chip seal

Harrison, Mercer, & Putnam Counties

  • U.S. Hwy. 69, U.S. Bus. Hwy. 69, Route A, and U.S. Hwy. 136; thin lift overlay
  • U.S. Hwy. 136 in Mercer/Putnam; thin lift overlay
  • Routes W and M in Mercer; thin lift overlay

Holt County

  • U.S. Hwy. 159 and Routes P, 111 and 113; overlay and flood repair
  • U.S. Hwy. 159 from I-29 to U.S. Hwy 59; one-inch asphalt overlay
  • Route E from U.S. Hwy.  59 at Mound City to U.S. Hwy. 159; one-inch asphalt overlay
  • Route 111; flood repair

Nodaway County

  • Routes VV and A; bridge re-decks and painting
  • Route VV; one-inch asphalt overlay
