A fairly dry weekend sets up some good weather for road crews to begin this week’s projects; area engineer Mike McGrath gives a rundown of work in three area counties on the south side of the Missouri River.
In Carroll County, crews will be doing routine maintenance including mowing and signing operations and the clearing of brush and debris, plus litter clean-up.
Chariton County will see crews begin shoulder work Wednesday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily; also in Chariton crews will work on the shoulder of Highway 24 from Keytesville, west to Route FF Monday and Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.
In Randolph County crews will perform culvert replacement along Route B from County Road 2420, west to about the Howard County Line Monday only from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m..
In Linn County crews will be working on Route 129 to patch the driving surface on Monday and Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. between New Boston and Route 110. Also in Linn County crews will work on Highway 36 between Route EE, East to 139 for concrete overlay all week. That work will be conducted from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.
