The Trenton Police Department recently completed a three-month investigation into an online fundraiser and uncovered alleged fraud.

According to the report Elizabeth Glass, 35, of Trenton, started a web-based fund raising page to help pay for the funeral expenses of Justin McKnight in mid-August.

However, in December the Trenton Police Department received word that the funeral home had not received the $1,600 that was reportedly raised.

The investigation revealed that the money was allegedly spent by Glass and charges have been filed. Glass now faces one felony count of receiving stolen property.

Glass’ bond has been set at $10,000 and she was scheduled to turn herself into authorities Tuesday afternoon.
