Morning Fire Claims Vacant Structure

Just after 9 a.m. Monday morning the Carrollton Fire Department was called to a structure fire on Grand Ave. in Carrollton. When crew arrived the structure was engulfed in flames. The home which was a trailer that had been modified is a total loss. No injuries have been reported at this time.

Witnesses say they heard a loud boom and vibration about 45 minutes before the fire broke out.

An elderly woman that resides in the home adjacent to where the fire broke out was evacuated due to the smoke and family members report that she is physically uninjured.
