A Lee’s Summit resident was taken to the hospital Saturday evening in Jackson County.

The highway patrol reports Ronald Hoyle, 47, was exiting eastbound Highway 50 at the I-470 exit just before 8 p.m. and attempted to pull over under the overpass due to rain.

Another eastbound vehicle, driven by Alyssa Bush, 19, of Independence, failed to yield and struck the rear of Hoyle’s motorcycle.

Bush was uninjured, Hoyle suffered minor injuries and was transported to Lee’s Summit Medical Center for treatment.
