If you’re a farmer who’s looking for help in estate planning, the University of Missouri Extension office is offering a Farm and Small Business Estate Planning Course to help make sure that your successor will take care of your operations after you are gone.

This is a four-week course that will be held each Tuesday, beginning January 14. Each session will cover a different topic.

“We discuss several different topics, such as why you should plan your estate, how property is titled, probate, estate tax, different estate planning tools and then the importance of communication to your heirs.” said University of Missouri Agricultural Business Specialist Joseph Koenen.
