Multiple Car Accident

An multiple car accident in Jackson county Thursday sent two people to the hospital. According to the Highway Patrol the crash occurred when 59-year-old Joseph Wood of Trimble was southbound on Route F at US-50 Highway when he allegedly ran a stop sign and into the path of 43-year-old Terry Brown of Saint Joseph, who was westbound on 50. Brown was pulling a trailer that separated from his vehicle during the crash and was then struck by a car driven by 27-year-old Cassandra DeLeon. Wood received moderate injuries while his passenger 24-year-old Daniel Smith of Oak Grove received minor injuries. Both men were taken to Centerpoint Hospital.
