Columbia, Mo., — Bob North, chairman of the Missouri Pork Association (MPA), presented the Outstanding Legislator Award to Senator Brian Munzlinger during the 2013 Missouri Pork Expo on February 13.

Senator Munzlinger was chosen for his outstanding support of the Missouri Pork Association, the Missouri pork industry and all of agriculture.

“Senator Munzlinger knows that agriculture is Missouri’s #1 industry,” said North. “He is a great ally to have in the State Legislature, and has worked to ensure that Missouri agriculture can continue to operate and function successfully.”

Senator Munzlinger understands the threat of extremist anti-meat, anti-hunting organizations like HSUS and PETA. He is also leading the charge to ensure that Missouri’s Vo-Ag and FFA programs continue to be the best in the nation. Brian Munzlinger is a key partner in helping to strengthen the future of agriculture for generations to come. We thank him for that effort and look forward to working with him in the future.

The 2013 Missouri Pork Expo was held February 13-14 in Columbia.
