A Carrollton man, arrested almost a year ago on two counts of statutory rape, will return to court Tuesday morning.  Theopolis Johnson II, 43, was charged earlier this year with two counts of first-degree murder.  Johnson’s bond was set at $1 million.

A case that has been met with multiple delays is also expected to move forward Tuesday.  Charles Politte, 24, of Carrollton, is facing one count of forcible rape related to an incident in Tina in 2010.

A Rocheport man will return to a Howard County courtroom on Tuesday as well.  Jeffrey Leighton, 42, was charged with domestic assault and armed criminal action.  Authorities said Leighton stabbed his wife and then hurt himself.  He is scheduled to appear in court for the setting of a preliminary hearing.

In Saline County, a plea/trial setting is being held for a Marshall man arrested last November for allegedly stealing from the Golden Oaks Assisted Living Center.  Carl Morrow Jr., 21, has been charged with pharmacy robbery, armed criminal action, stealing, and possession of a controlled substance.  He is being held on a combined bond of $60,000.

All cases start at 9:00 a.m.
