A Sedalia woman will appear in a Saline County courtroom Wednesday morning for a motion hearing.

Lydia Iliff, 33, is facing one count of possession of a prohibited item at a county jail. Iliff allegedly used a cell phone that was smuggled to her to contact two Marshall Residents.

Iliff is in jail for a separate case. She is charged with tampering with a motor vehicle, endangering the welfare of a child, and two counts of murder in connection to the July 2012 death of her 18-month-old daughter. She is scheduled to go on trial for those charges in November.

Iliff will be in court Wednesday morning at 9 a.m. with a bench trial for the possession charge scheduled to begin October 7th.
